Can you please, please, please tell me if the bobbin case for this machine is an "M" bobbin or an "L" bobbin? My bobbin winder is a real pain in the butt! The bobbin will be either too tight or too loose to wind the thread. I have put a screw driver in the peg space to make it open wider but sometimes it doesn't work. Any help would be appreciated.

Wasn’t easy for me. I had a dickens of a time loosening the screw. It was on so tight that i just shy of stripped it before it finally came loose. Definitely tricky to install and not something i want to do each time i need to switch the throat plate. I would rather have ordered another little flip door assembly and throat plate already attached. I have no idea if the little flip door assembly is available to order. If it is, i will order it to attach to the original throat plate and make it super easy on myself going forward. Also some extra little screws, if available; mine is already very nearly stripped and im not sure it could survive another switch- out. If the flip door assembly is available, i may not ever need another screw, but better to have on hand to be on the safe side. I love my Juki and Juki Junkies is an amazing company to work with. I found this particular task quite frustrating but it certainly doesn’t diminish my love for Juki or Juki Junkies! Thanks for all your videos! I have referred to them countless times! ❤

I think this video is a little deceiving. There are industrials for quilt making and bags. There is the 9000C that Kimberly Jolly uses, the Juki 8700, for light to medium fabrics, are industrials.

Just got an 1181N delivered today - table was pre-assembled, including the grommets and oil pan (thanks!) and belt guard was already installed. Note to new people, there's two screws holding the oil pan in - you'll want to remove those. And there's no longer a plug in the motor for the LED light. And the extra brushes didn't exist :) Otherwise these instructions still hold up!

I also have a Singer 201-2 the best ever made. The singer 66-16. this goes over everything. It is strong and never fails. my first vintage is a Singer Red Eye in a beautiful oak treadle table. I love Sewing machines. Just started making bags and went down the rabbit hole looking for the best.

I would love to see a tutorial about sewing something that goes from heavy material to light and back. I really love my TL, but am struggling making wallets and smaller projects because I can't seem to get it to stop skipping when there is a dip in the fabric. I'm not sure if I'm adjusting it wrong or what, but if you guys find the time, it would be a huge benefit. My best friend and I are both struggling with this right now (we both got the TL18 this year)

One thing that is odd about these machines compared to every other machine that has the same features; the sew/single stitch button here requires that the peddle be unplugged. No other machine from other brands has that requirement soooo, what gives?

hey David, could you please help? i have a problem with the Threads/Stiches and the Tension of my ddl 8700. the first problem i have is that the individual stiches/ Threads are not straight instead they are narrow. Second problem is the tension. i've tried to fix it by myself by watching uncountable videos on youtube and tried to figure it out, from the upper tension to the bottom tension, i've tried everything i could but still, if the upper stiches look okay, then the bottom stiches are chaotic like the have that straight one line with dots from the upper stiches and if i fix that, the upper stiches will have the same problem. Hope you see this! 😢
